Lalbagh, which means 'Red Garden' has medieval roots and was commissioned as a pleasure garden for Mysore rulers - Haider Ali & Tipu Sultan. This historical garden from being a Sultan's personal garden & a statement of power & extravagance to becoming a botanical park with a large range of horticultural samples from around the world, has undergone several changes through multiple periods of time.
The Lalbagh walk is a lovely botanical tour interspersed with bits of bygone Bengaluru.
